 OPEN MRI

Open magnetic resonance imaging or (MRI) combines the superior diagnostic performance with the comfort of an open environment and incorporates latest advances in gradient, radio frequency and computer technology permitting very sophisticated clinical applications. The powerful system delivers images with the diagnostic clarity that physicians need. Since this machine does not emit x-rays there is no fear of radiation.

Most importantly, Open MRI allows all-round patient access and therefore increased ability to scan pediatric, claustrophobic, and large patients up to 400 lbs.

The large aperture and floating table allow for accurate patient positioning, improving signal to noise ratio and in-plane resolution by permitting a smaller field of view with minimal offset.

Summerlin Imaging Center is Accredited by the American College of Radiology.

X-RAY

General Radiology:
This is the most basic and most familiar of the X-ray exams. It is most typically used for imaging chests and assessing broken bones.

ULTRASOUND

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves as its imaging source. Ultrasound imaging is based on the reflection of a sound wave after it collides with the anatomy being studied. The resulting pattern of that reflection is converted into diagnostic information via a hand-held transducer passed over the area being imaged.

CAT SCAN

We perform cat scan procedures in less time without compromising diagnostic accuracy or patient comfort. We offer same day scheduling, friendly, caring qualified staff, with 24 hour turn around time with reports. Convenient location

BONE DENSITOMETRY

Bone densitometry uses special X-ray equipment to quickly and accurately measure the density of bones. This measurement helps doctors identify people who have osteoporosis, predict someone's risk for fractures of the hip and spine, and monitor changes in bone density over time. Summerlin Imaging Center uses state-of-the-art bone densitometry equipment to take pictures of bones in the spine, hip and wrist. With IVA (instant vertebral assessment) capability.
